THE ENGINEERING MINDSET. OUR HISTORY.

In 2020, Sheryl Sorby, then President of ASEE, initiated an effort to transform undergraduate engineering and engineering technology education.

A Steering Committee was appointed and created a framework for the initiative.

  • Gary R. Bertoline, Purdue University and Steering Committee Chair
  • Cindy Atman, University of Washington
  • Maura Borrego, University of Texas – Austin
  • Kelly Cross, Georgia Tech University
  • Nate Klingbeil, Wright State University
  • Alex Mejia, University of Texas, San Antonio
  • Jackie El Sayed, ASEE
  • Denise Simmons, University of Florida
  • Karan Watson, Texas A&M University
  • Sheryl Sorby, University of Cincinnati, and President of ASEE
